Keep and Enforce Prohibition

Woman’s Christian Temperance Union Meeting Minutes Book 1925

What an exciting way to spend a beautiful summer evening: reading the minutes of the Monongahela Woman’s Christian Temperance Union from 1925.

I found this flyer in the pages of the book. Don’t you love the art deco font? The library was just about to close when I discovered it so I’ll have to go back for another visit. Click the image above to view a much larger version, big enough that you can read a few of the notes.

  1. I wonder what it would take to get all of this stuff digitized. I would hate to see it all gone before my children are old enough to enjoy it. I’ll have to speak to the Library about getting the process started, honestly, I never thought about it til now, I suppose I assumed they had already made copies of all this stuff… But thinking about it, I’m sure they haven’t.
